I love Hambright!!! My dog and cat are patients... they know us by name! Jay and Dr Patel are truly a gift and love my babies by giving them excellent care!
My cat is two days post op and already feeling much better and happier! Dr. Nutt was attentive, took the time to explain everything, and was thorough answering questions. Taking a cat to the vet can be overwhelming, but the staff was supportive and compassionate making for a smooth visit, definitely recommend!
Dr. Schupp is always so gentle and thorough with our girls. Adopting a dog is always a new adventure, and the first thing we wanted to do was make sure they were both healthy and thriving. Dr. Schupp and her techs were so helpful in giving us all our options for screenings, vaccines, and prevention and letting us know what was most important and what could wait. They are also very transparent about costs, so you can make the best decision for you and your family. They let you know what and why they recommend certain things, but aren’t pushy if you want to wait on some things.
I am confident that Macey and Dixie are getting the best care at Hambright Animal Hospital.

He had a rough start in life with an abusive owner and came into our lives as a textbook rescue. He shook off the first owner issues like a champ then stole at least 100 hearts with his genuine friendliness and fun character. I did not expect the level of heartfelt compassion that your team provided when I brought him in, and the passage process was so easy and drama-less that I knew immediately we had given him a gift that defined love and selflessness despite how much it hurt. I am very nervous when it comes to taking my cat to the vet and must say Hambright is just amazing. The whole staff put me at ease and were beyond gentle with my cat. As some say pricing is higher but they are very thorough in explaining options that match the budget. Will be back for sure and cannot recommend them enough.
Dr. Southwell took her time with both of my cats, Eleanorah Lorelai and Tommy Shelby during their annual exams and I felt as though she was very thorough. The first time patient (only eligible one per household) exam fee of $37 was helpful because I’m a single income household with 5 pets of my own plus I’ve been paying out of pocket to TNR neighborhood cats (spay and neuter your pets!), so every bit helps. I would recommend this clinic and Dr. Southwell specifically for anyone looking for a new kitty vet in the north Charlotte area.
Great vet! Easy scheduling process, easy clear check-in process, very fast but thorough, they didn't have me wait in a room for long periods which was great! They even called the next day to follow up on how my dog was doing!
I took my nearly 20 year old cat in for what I suspected would be bad news and ultimately end with euthanasia. I explained my inability to afford any major expense and my desire to alleviate his suffering. The staff was very concerned, listened to me, and completely transparent about the costs associated with his examination and necessary diagnostics. We agreed on a treatment plan and Mr. Kitty has improved and is now enjoying the rest of his "golden years". I highly recommend this practice!
Staff was nice. My dog had been three times for the same problem. I followed their instructions exactly what they said to do. Dr. Patel insisted on treating the issue instead of solving the problem. However upon speaking with Dr. Houghton I have to say my view was changed. He was very attentive to my dogs needs. He was also most considerate, listened to what i had to say. I could tell that he really wanted to help my dogs issue. My dog is my son in my eyes and is a large part of my life. So Dr. Houghton reaching out is greatly appreciated. I am satisfied with the service we received and I will be keeping Hambright as our vet. My sincere apologies for my first impression.
We brought our new baby kitten in because she was sneezing. She got a couple of booster shots and antibiotics. Later she was not well and I was worried sick. I called to tell them and they had her come right back in and they gave her fluids and meds. for injection pain and fever. She was fine and I was so relieved. I’m so impressed with their willingness to alleviate my concerns even though they knew she was OK. I generally don’t trust vets or basically anyone (LOL); This gave me the piece of mind I needed that my baby would be safe being cared for by Hambright going forward. Thank you so much for caring for her and her irrational mom.
I am extremely grateful and amazed at the wonderful service I received at Hambright Animal Hospital. Everyone from the receptionist answering the phone, to the techs and especially Dr. Berardi was caring, compassionate and understanding. I would 100% recommend them for all your pet’s needs!
Dr Berardi and her team have been amazing with our boy, Sam. He had his leg amputated last June due to bone cancer. She has guided us till the end with such compassion & love.
We can never thank her and Kaylee enough for helping make Sam happy.
