Jay is a Veterinary Assistant at Hambright Animal Hospital. After graduating from Mars Hill University, she began her veterinary career at an animal hospital in Charlotte. In February 2025, Jay joined Hambright to be closer to her family in Kannapolis and to shorten her commute. Since then, she has loved being part of a dedicated and compassionate team.
For Jay, veterinary medicine is the perfect blend of her two passions - helping people and caring for animals. She believes pets give us unconditional love, and her goal is to return that love by making every veterinary visit as stress-free and positive as possible. She is especially passionate about advocating for small, “spicy” dogs, a skill she’s honed thanks to her chihuahua, Lillie Ann, who inspires her daily to provide understanding and compassionate care for patients with big personalities in small packages.
In practice, Jay enjoys building strong relationships with clients and serving as a voice for her patients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed. She also loves working with smaller breeds, finding joy in helping them feel comfortable and cared for.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys traveling with friends and family or relaxing with a good book. Her constant companion is Lillie Ann, who loves showing off her stylish outfits and greeting everyone she meets with affection and charm.
