Olivia is the Head Client Service Representative at Hambright Animal Hospital. A Charlotte native, she grew up near Mt. Island Lake in a family that loved the outdoors; her father and brother were avid bass fishers, while she enjoyed playing soccer with her older brother, now a CMPD police officer. Her roots in the area and love for animals shaped the foundation of her career in veterinary medicine.
Olivia’s journey began while she was attending UNCC and working at a local doggy daycare. That’s when she met her beloved English Bulldog, Butterz. Purchased out of the back of a van, Butterz needed extensive medical care, which quickly opened Olivia’s eyes to the importance of veterinary medicine. From cleaning kennels to becoming a veterinary assistant, moving into pharmaceutical sales, and eventually managing an urgent veterinary hospital, her career has spanned more than 12 years. Butterz’s health struggles with lumbosacral disease inspired Olivia to dive deep into education, advocacy, and rescue work, cementing her passion for supporting both pets and their families.
After years of late nights, weekends, and holidays in urgent care, Olivia was drawn to Hambright for the balance it offered between her career and her family life. She brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for client education, as well as a gift for creating a positive, supportive environment within the hospital. She loves fostering connections with clients, sharing knowledge, and uplifting her team in a field that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
At home, Olivia shares life with her 4-year-old daughter, August, whose world is filled with unicorns, princesses, and magical adventures. Together they enjoy tea parties and exploring museums across North Carolina. Their family also includes Lucy, an 8-year-old American Bulldog who was rescued years ago. Lucy’s favorite hobbies are napping and sneaking rolls of electrical tape whenever she can find them, a quirky trait that never fails to make Olivia laugh.
